WP7: Mechanics and micro-structure of agriculture plants materials
Objectives:
- improve networking with centres of excellence and laboratories in EU and Candidate Countries,
- establishing a training centre at IAPAS, ensuring access to the newest knowledge and data existing in EU laboratories,
- attract young researchers in field of mechanics and micro-structure studies of agriculture plant materials.
Deliverables and milestones for the package:
- strengthened links with European laboratories through experience exchanging - three missions to EU countries,
- one Workshop and lab-training for young researchers,
- joint scientific publications,
- arrangement for participation in new proposal of R&D project in FP.
General activities:
- increasing understanding of interaction between micro and macro properties of agriculture plant materials,
- presentation of new techniques used for micro and macro-cracking investigation,
- better understanding of experimental results considered their practical application.
Examples of activity realized within the WP7:
- micro-structure and mechanical properties of plant tissue as crucial importance for controlling and development high quality of fruits, vegetables and other food products.
