- the so-called splash – the first phase of water erosion;
- solubilisation of bioactive compounds of plant origin;
- stability of colloidal systems (e.g., microemulsion);
- stability of soil colloids in aqueous suspensions;
- surface properties of microorganisms identified on the basis of measurements of size distribution and electrokinetic potential (zeta);
- possibilities of using two-dimensional images obtained by optical microscopy for evaluation of three-dimensional particles, e.g. sand grains;
- development of a Polish Standard project of determination of particle size distribution with the laser diffraction method.
