Interest
Research interests:
- Soil science and environmental metrology - development of new methods; adaptation of existing methods to new measurements; determining of the scope of applicability and limitations of the methods used in soil science laboratories. The main developed methods are:
- laser diffractometry for measurement of particle size distribution of soils and sludges,
- Dynamic Light Scattering (DLS) methods and Doppler Electrophoresis Laser Doppler Electrophoresis (LDE) for measurements of surface properties of bacteria and microemulsions,
- the methods of image recording and analysis for interpretation of the origin of sediments,
- e-nose in soil science investigations,
- methods for investigations of the soil splash phenomenon. - Soil physics (including soil erosion) – currently mainly the first stage of soil erosion i.e. splash of the soil after the hitting of a water drop,
- Emission and absorption of Greenhouse Gases (GHG)– currently mainly the methanogenesis and methanotrophy of soils.
