WP1: Hydro- and thermo-physical characteristics of porous media as parameters of mass and energy transport models

Objectives:
  • promotion of European co-operation in the field of determination of hydro- and thermo-physical characteristics of porous body,
  • unification and generalization of the method and methodology of determination of basic porous medium physical characteristics as parameters of equation describing mass and energy flow in isothermal and non-isothermal conditions.
Deliverables and milestones for the package:
  • creation of unified procedures for determination of basic characteristics describing mass and energy flow in porous materials,
  • better mutual recognising as well as experience and knowledge distribution,
  • collaboration towards common participation in FP.

General activities:
  • promotion of European co-operation in the field of determination of hydro- and thermo-physical characteristics of porous body,
  • unification and generalization of the method and methodology of determination of basic porous medium physical characteristics as parameters of equation describing mass and energy flow in isothermal and non-isothermal conditions.
Examples of activity realized within the WP1:
  • development of measurement methods for determination of water and thermal soil characteristics,
  • development of algorithms (models) for estimation of water and thermal soil characteristics.
